I got to b e honest i hate country sooooooo much im really more of a hip hop/rap girl. i listen to 95.5 24/7 so when i here country i turn it off or close my ears. If the country is more hip hop ish like i really like the first cut is the deepest (that is country right??? :confused: ) but other then that no.

To me, rock music is great because it gives you a feeling other music cant. It makes you feel like jumping around, and go crazy. Country is just Blues with trucks and farmers. My dad loves it...

And to the guy who said Emo sucks, like you have an open mind and have listened to it. I listened to a lot of country because my dad likes it, and I dont like it.

Skill does not really mean anything in most bands. It's talent, inspiration, and feeling.

Why do you think the blues is/was popular? It's simple, and if the musician is good, conveys deep feeling. People can identify with that and say "I know what he is saying/feeling/playing" and feel good about it. Meanwhile, the same person listens to jazz and may seem uncomfortable with the tempo and tone, wondering what is going on in that song.

The same applies to all music. Between average and amazing, skill does not really come into play. You could say blues is crap because it is so simple to play compared to some other music, but that really doesn't matter. All that matters is if you like what you're hearing, and identify with it.

On that note, almost all good songs have repetitive structures, unless you like the mindless dime a dozen shredders who go up and down a pentatonic or arpeggio, going through the tempo and music, rather than with.

On topic, country really depends on my mood for me.
