For the next few days, I'm an international delegate representing Britain at the International Youth Advisory Congress. I have to spend the next five days with a bunch of foreigners creating a charter for the UN that will be put into place. The charter itself will actually be a new policy set across the world and is about internet safety for children.

So far, we've actually just wandered around London doing touristy things but tomorrow we're actually doing things. Anyone else happen to know anyone going? It's a damn shame that no one there actually seems to know anything about the internet beyond MySpace and FaceBook.

Hands'll be happy to know I've befriended all the Australians. They're the only ones that don't spend the whole day whining. *Cough*Canadians*Cough*

Isn't that one of those bull**** invitational events for "gifted" students that they send to every highschool student in the world, hoping that some of them will be naïve enough to pay a few thousand dollars to go on a glorified field trip that accomplishes nothing?

It probably looks good on a college application, though.

Actually it's all completely free, and all the key people from the British government and the UN are there. We spend the next five days creating a charter that will actually be put into place. It's damn hard to get in to.

There were quite a few Americans there, but there's only one in my group and I haven't really spoken to her.

I think you should, then you will get an up close view on how annoying preppy american chicks actually are.

Also, hurray for your Iyac thing. Sounds like a great thing for a person to do.

It's not my fault all the Canadian representatives were Jewish.

Just saying. Not my fault.

Sweet Congrats. I feel bad for you now that you mentioned MySpace and Facebook. No joke, I feel it deep.

It's quite a shame, seeing as I don't actually have an account on any social networking sites.

So today, we were in conferences with two people from Visa, a guy from Microsoft and some journalist. The actual information is all quite dull, and they're all masters at dodging questions, but the food is amazing.

I do believe however, you do have one on facebook, even if you don't use it.

I love the ironic truth.
