ps2 online connection

I know that there are videos and walkthroughs online on how to connect the ps2 to the internet but i really would like an easy step by step. some videos were better than others but i'd like some assurance from you guys to tell me how to do it. I need to know what things i need to connect online and i need to know how to set it up. I need to know a way to do this without messing up the current network connection.

Things i already have
*Router
*Modem
*PlayStation 2 slimline
*one Ethernet cable (but i am purchasing another 1)

Not sure how more simpler you need it to be.

1) Plug in Ps2
2) take ethernet cable and plug into router/ modem.
3) Take online game and pop in Ps2
4) follow prompts

Doesnt the PS2 also come with a CD to help set up the connection? I know I got one when I bought my fatter PS2. Dunno if the skinny ones come with it too tho id assume.

You don't need the cd with the slimlines.
