....there is a little over an hour until the last All-Star game is played at the current Yankee Stadium. I swear I'll cry the day they finally tear it down like a bunch of capitalists.
Until then, might as well enjoy the Mid-Summer Classic. Nothing like ticker-tape going up Manhattan to kick things off, eh? On top of the "free" Bon Jovi concert that passed this weekend on Columbus Circle side, it's been a great run.

....anyhow, most likely I'll be hanging around the Sports Bar here, inbetween laundry and other things. If anyone can post the lineups for tonight before the game starts, I would appreciate. I know Ben Sheets is slated to start for the NL, but I missed the AL starter - also include.

That would be all for tonight, stick around if you please.

Ah, buns. At least his ERA seems low, considering it's almost like interleague play again.

Well, considering this is the only true All-Star game thread, I will throw out a few things I noticed in the first few innings I watched.

Cliff Lee actually is very impressive. I've never heard of the guy because all they talk about is the big loaf C.C. Sabathia. Now that he is gone, this guy should be huge in Cleveland.

I also play a game every year that is called "Guess which Royal made the All-Star team". This years winner is closer Joakim Soria. I had to look that up:(

Did anyone else notice the opening pitch with Yogi Berra and a few other Yankee all stars? Yogi was practically at home plate and still almost didn't make it but to his right, Reggie Jackson threw a fire ball just to show up everyone. I laughed when he whipped it.
