When game developers/designers make amazing backgrounds, but leave the characters looking like a game from six years ago? *cough cough*. (http://users.skynet.be/n-zone/Super_smash_bros_brawl_1280.jpg)

Metaknight on the words just looks terrible. And look at the grass, it was made in Paint.

they just use the same characters, just in greater detail. wouldn't it suck if mario suddenly disapeared because he was to old?

I tried to re-do yours, but the gradient background looks best. The sprites are too cartoony for anything too intense.

It's okay. I'm glad you used this one as opposed to the 3-D one from the game.

Augh. pixelated sprites don't look good in sigs unless you really know some stuff about Photoshop. I could make a ****ty version of your sig for giggles.

In actuality the grass isn't horrible, it's cel-shaded. It only looks terrible because it's completely different than the realistic looking characters, so one assumes that it's meant to look realistic rather than cartoony. The designers of the ad didn't take this into consideration while they made the ad, you really can't count it against the game itself it's actually quite well constructed and beautiful game.
