I was reading the Television Guide, looking for something epic to watch. I was surprised to see that Sesame street is still on the air. I flicked to channel 10 (That's PBS where I live) and I found that it wasn't nearly the same thing as I remembered. Fir starters, Big Bird is now known as "Yellow Bird." Ernie and Bert don't live together any more, and theres a new monster who lives there. Who has AIDS.
Discuss.

Guys living together probably wasn't good for 3 year olds. Yellow bird is probably so kids learn their colors...that's how stupid they think the toddlers are.

I think they changed "Big Bird" because of stupid North American slang.

That song is stuck in my head! Now I'm going to start singing it without realizing it. :(

It had to be fruit. And you're probably right about Big Bird.

These changes have been around for a while. I disagree with splitting up Bert and Ernie. Kids should be exposed to *** couples earlier in life. Changing Big Bird to Yellow Bird is dumb too. As long as they don't get rid of Oscar the Grouch.

That reminds me! They also toned down Oscars grouchiness, and the Cookie monster doesn't eat Cookies anymore.

I think it was Logbomb who said kids should be exposed to *** couples and should have kept Bert and Ernie living together.
They're not ***! They're just...room mates.

They made that change a while ago. They seriously changed everything about the show that was worth watching.

I say we all write to PBS. It's just such a travesty.

Should we use another petition to protest this?

Lets put it this way. Sesame Street is an ass rape of it's formal self.

You know, I never liked Sesame Street as a kid. I watched Teletubbies and that one show with the clowns and the dust bunnies.

This is hilarious to me. Who here of you would actually watch it if they changed it back? Now the classic is Winnie The Pooh.

I would. You might not understand this, but the humor they once had was clever.

****, I lost.
that one show with the clowns and the dust bunnies.
BIG COMFY COUCH IS THE BEST ****ING KIDS SHOW EVER CREATED.
The reason for this is because I saw an episode recently, and hell, it's lulz for the entire family. There's this one scene where that chick and Major Bedhead have to fix up Granny's (who's obviously a big time Russian or something) house, and the chick randomly lifts up a giant saw beside her, and smiles really big and puts her thumb up, and then Major Bedhead shakes his head, and she puts down the saw and frowns. It was the funniest scene in a kids show I've ever seen in my life.
Also after that they started dancing and singing for some reason.
