I, for the record have never had a MySpace. I did dabble a bit with a msn profile, but only for a little while, a little while.

The only time a person should use a social networking is site is when they're either:

a) Leaving and want to keep in contact with people
b) A university student who wants to get to know other people in similar classes.

Other than that, use of MySpace, Facebook, Bebo etc. is for "friend" whoring and is a sin.

I turned that off eons ago.

The only reason I do not shut mine down is that I have found a few far flung friends from school. A reunion will be in the plans at some point. I'd like to be in the loop for that. Facebook is about my only connection for that.

I think I had a Myspace for a few short days. I made it, put stuff in it, looked at it and though "so now what do I do?". If people wanted to know about you, you would think they should just come and talk to you. I find Myspace to be a place where people pretend to have close friends. Suddenly, the two people "know" eachother. Even if I did use it, I would only put close friends on there that I actually know. And if that is the case, why write a message to them when I could just as easily go over to their house or call them?
