But, I won't be working in the fields as I expeted. They don't hire under 18... *Sigh*
So my mother wants me to either work for a relative (Vendor at parades) or Fred Meyers (Store). And then she wants me to put in at least ten hours of volunteer time at someplace like OMSI (Oregon Museum of Science and Industry). Right now, my only thought is "I dun wanna...." but oh well...
Damn, I don't want a job... But I do want money. So a job it is, I guess.

I do stock at a small local store for $6.50 an hour. Once school is out, I will be working a butt load of hours though.

I'm out of a job till September, so I'll get another one soon as well.
I'll apply at Canadian Tire, but if I don't get the job there I'll find something else. (McDonalds as a for sure last resort.)

Actually, McDonalds is a great job to have on your resume. A lot of employers look for it almost like they do your high school diploma.
I once said I would never work there, but at 22 I ended up working there for 9 months. It was actually one of the most rewarding jobs I ever had. I had to do so many different things to get enough hours to cover my expenses, but it was worth it. Also never hurt that I got to work with A LOT of 16 year old girls... :D

soo all of you will mostly never be on hallpass during summer cause of work, sad, ill miss the mods, im gonna be on hallpass all summer long and im gonna talk to you from Europe instead of where i m right now at home in Las Vegas. im only 13 though so i wont be able to work. but i can sell my cousins drawings that he wants to throw away. he's an artist so ill make a good profit more than some of guys maybe, soooo thats good
