What are the differences between 2.0 and 3.0? I may be getting into Flash, and I know 3.0 is harder. Which one is more rewarding to learn and know?

Well, to start off, AS2 is simpler than AS3. With AS3, you can do a lot more with isometrics than you ever could. There aren't a lot of tutorials for AS3 then there are for AS2 so I'd recommend using the built-in tutorials.

If I were you, I would start learning AS3 now instead of learning AS2 and having to convert.
