Hi, this is a long story so I'm just shortening it up. While playing Toribash, one of my enemies came on. We got in an argument. He said that Mice are better than Touch Pad in general. I said that Touch Pad is just as good, and in some cases better. So then he declared that he could find thousands of people who would agree mice are better. So I want to know what you guys think.

P.S. If for some reason you like both then just say so. There is no multiple choice.

I have a laptop so it has the touch pad. I don't think it is that bad. However, a mouse is way better because it is easier control. The wireless mouse is the best.

Guess so. If you like them so much, name some of the good things about them.

Nice comment. Well let's see... I like the touch pad because 1. I was playing a game and decided to try playing it with a mouse. I stopped using it after five minutes because of that stupid cord. 2. I guess I play better if my hand is in front of me instead of away. 3. I'm used to the touch pad. 4. The mouse can't play on any surface and you need to get a mouse pad. 5. sometimes if that sensor under the mouse gets dirty you got to clean it. 6. Sometimes if I get frustrated while playing with a mouse I right click instead of left, on a touch pad you can just keep your thumb or other index finger on the left click button. On my touch pad I can just double tap the pad and it left clicks.

I'm sure there are more reasons but I can't think of them right now. Why do you like the mouse?

I don't suffer from the majority of those problems due to having an optical mouse.

I'm just naming problems with a mouse in general

I dont have any of those problems

1. touch pad is so small its hard to move around
2. the touch pad sometimes dosnt know if your finger is there
3. Its really hard to click
4. mice give better control

x3 I actually prefer the touch pad for most things, if I'm playing "Defend your Castle", then I like the normal mouse, but otherwise, it's the touch pad all the way. x3 But, it's mostly because I'm so used to it now. I only use a real mouse at school, and occasionally a friends house. I've had a laptop since my birthday, so it's what I've used. =/

I do like to use a touch-pad on my mum's laptop but, for some reason, when I am using it, the thing I am doing suddenly closes, sometimes. So I prefer a mouse. I guess there's just a problem with everything. I hate mouse cords and I hate how the batteries always seem to run out when I am using a cordless mouse. I also hate novelty mouse designs which you don't really get with touch-pads.

I very much prefer the conventional mouse over the laptop touch pad.

To me, the mouse just seems more precise and easy to control than the touch pad. I can use a mouse-less laptop about as efficiently as an amputee with Parkinsons.

I use a wireless mouse that needs no mouse pad. The touchpad just..is more complicated. in games you have to drag your finger a mile just to click something farr away. with a mouse you tilt your hand and it goes where you want it to go.

I have a cool optical mouse with red gel that lights up making it look really cool. It's cool because it loks cool, and did I mention that it is like the coolest thing ever?

It's definitely cool. And probably the coolest mouse ever. (I got it for christmas)

And I prefer mouses. Touch pads are only good for laptop use.

Mice do get tangled a bit but i find them easier to control. They move around easier and pads only annoy me because of my big fingers. With a pad, i cant move it fast enough and might fail whichever game i'm playing.

Mouse wins in my opinion.

P.S. A mouse pad is the thing that you put under the mouse not the laptop pad...

A good mouse will cream a touch pad any day. Though I like trackballs better than mice for some things.

I want to get a computer where instead of using a mouse, you use your mind to pick whatever you want and type words and crap.

Or a touch screen would be cool.

Mouse WHEELS, they are hard for me. Pads aren't that hard but wheels are just less common and i've only ever used them once of twice that is why i asked that.

Mouse are way better than pads just because you have more control and with a touch pad sometimes you want to make a drastic movement and you reach the end of the pad now you need to move your finger back to the middle or the other side and sometimes you move the arrow to. If you have a wireless mouse thats even better.
